Widget areas in Hestia theme.
The sidebar and footer widget areas are common to most WordPress themes.
The other widget areas: subscribe, very top bar, navigation, and big title section, only display if you have enabled the corresponding settings when configuring your site.
Customizer > Widgets.
The subscribe widget area.
The subscribe section displays between the about and blog sections on the front page. This is designed to insert the Brevo plugin code. I think you could insert other code here instead of the Brevo code.
You find the subscribe settings here: customize > front page sections > subscribe.
The very top bar widget area.
The very top bar widget area displays on the left hand side of the very top bar. But only if the very top bar is activated and the widget area is populated. On mobiles the widget area is hidden. If you add a tel, mailto, or social media link, Hestia automatically inserts an icon.
You add a menu to the very top bar via the menu locations: customize > menus > view all locations.
You add widgets to the very top bar via: customize > widgets > very top bar.
The very top bar is not deep, I only use phone, email, and social media links here.
The navigation widget area.
The navigation bar widget area only becomes available if you select the navigation bar layout with logo left, widget area right, and navigation bar below. Find this setting via: customizer > Header Options > Navigation.
Big title section.
Big title section is the hero header section of the Hestia front page. If you set the hero header text to align right or left the big title widget area becomes available. The Hestia documentation recommends you put a video in the big title section widget area. If you set the homepage hero header text to align center, the big title section widget area will not display.
Find this setting via: customize > front page sections > big title section.
